I am exporting our Action notes to Excel 2013 to clean up unwanted characters that are causing problems, specifically quotes (""), but also will look for other characters while I have them out. Tips, suggestions, warnings? If I export the Description and Notes fields with the Import ID is there anything specific I need to do in my ImportOmatic profile to make sure the corrected action notes replace the original action notes? Thank you!

I would suggest just using a normal RE import for this.

IOM doesn't really use ids to replace/update records. There are some settings for actions to "match" based on title & description or Type and Author for example but nothing about ids.

Since you will have everything you need (Action import id, notepad import id, types, etc.) then you can just do a normal RE import and it will be much easier!
