Description: This solution discusses why error files can no longer be opened in the Blackbaud Hosting environment
In September 2020, Blackbaud disabled the ability to launch notepad.exe from within hosting. With this change, any .txt files, including the error.txt file created by ImportOmatic, can no longer be opened from within an application in Blackbaud Hosting.
To access your error and exception files:
1. Sign in to Blackbaud Hosting
2. Click Files
3. Sign in to the File Transfer Utility
4. In the top right corner, type a forward slash followed by your Blackbaud Site ID, and hit the Enter key
5. Select the folder with the errors and exceptions, and download the files needed. In this example, the folder is titled Exceptions
