I am currently formatting an excel file that contains about 4500 participants. My supervisor wanted me to import these participants into the Events ID record, tie any participant to a constituent record if one already exists, while at the same time, create constituent records for new participants and tie them into the record.
I do know that there is a "Participant is a Constituent" is a field in Importomatic, I was just wondering if there were any suggestions for records who aren't already in our system.
If ImportOmatic can't find an existing constituent in RE, a new record will be created. Using the "Participant is a Constituent" will allow you to add that participant as a non-constituent participant. You do this by adding a value of "No" in your data file. Otherwise you don't need this field and IOM will add that participant as a full constituent in RE.
I would recommend testing with a few participants to make sure you're seeing the desired results.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Thank you, Amanda Omatic Software
