This option is designed to automatically add packages to appeals when creating assigned appeal relationships only.
If attempting to use this option when entering gifts into batch, this option will not function as it is not intended for gift entry. In regard to gift entry importing, you would have to add packages to appeals within RE before importing if you are designating packages to gifts in batch.
