To add a pledge payment in a sporting event, complete the following steps:

1. Select the participant who will have the pledge payment applied to his participant record
2. Right click and select Add donation gift
3. At the prompt, indicate whether the participant is also the donor
4. If applying a gift default set, choose the set from the drop down and click Apply. If not using a gift default set, choose Skip
5. If the donor is not the participant, in the gift record, search for the constituent making the pledge payment.
6. You will receive a pop up stating “This constituent has at least one outstanding pledge. Would you like to apply this gift to a pledge?” Select Yes
7. Complete the gift as usual then click Save and Close
   
   Note: you must have rights to add gifts in RE to add a pledge payment
