Answer:
In order to free up participant licenses, you will need to archive the event in the Settings area of EventOmatic. To access the Settings, hold down the CTRL key while clicking on the EventOmatic macro button.
Click on the Licensing tab. Right click on the event you are finished with, and select Archive Event.
Once an event is archived, it becomes read-only in EOM and it cannot be reactivated.
