This is a limitation of RE and we are unable to import the attribute description value to a Customer Name Lookup field.
The alternative solution that will work and allow you to continue importing the way you have been is to change the attribute to a "text" or "table" description instead. This is a viable solution because the Customer Name Lookup field data type does not hold a true linking between records. This will allow you to bring the value in from your data file as is.
