When importing addresses into The Raiser's Edge, it is required that the state codes (abbreviations) are provided.
Many external databases are only able to provide the long spellings of the states. Therefore, a dictionary will need to be created to abbreviate the names of the states. We are providing a list of state abbreviations as per the USPS (see attached file). We hope you find this information helpful.
