Answer:
To manually promote a non-constituent relationship to a full constituent:
- In the duplicate match screen, open the constituent record and go to the relationship record
- Choose Relationship from the title bar, and select Add this individual as a Constituent
- Take note of the new Constituent ID
- In the duplicate match screen, use the Search for a Record button to search for the full constituent record using the Constituent ID to insure you're selecting the correct record. Select the record to add it to the duplicate match screen
- Select the added record and click the Match to Selected Record button.
For IOM to promote a non-constituent relationship to a full constituent:
You could use the new API that is available in IOM 2.0 to promote these records during the course of the import. The API module is included with IOM 2.0 at no cost. You would need someone who can program in Visual Basic to write the routine for you, or we could write the routine as a paid service.
As an alternative, you may consider purchasing The Elevator as a service and our Professional Services team can create a scope for you to promote a query of existing non-constituent records to full constituent records. Please create a case with our Support Team for further information on pricing.
