Answer:

To add a sponsoring pledge in a sporting event, complete the following steps:

  1. Select the participant who will have the sponsoring pledge applied to his participant record

  2. Right click and select Add sponsoring pledge

  3. At the prompt, indicate whether the participant is also the donor

  4. If applying a gift default set, choose the set from the drop down and click Apply. If not using a gift default set, choose Skip

  5. If the donor is not the participant, in the gift record, search for the constituent making the pledge.

  6. Complete the pledge as usual then click Save and Close

Note: you must have rights to add gifts in RE to add a sponsoring pledge in EOM
