Starting in IOM version 2.6, volunteer job assignments can now be matched and updated during import. Please update to the latest version of IOM which can be found on our Downloads page.
Map the job assignment fields using Record Type Volunteer Job Assignment.
After mapping the fields, go to Volunteer in the left side navigation pane. The second box contains the fields for matching to existing job assignments.
Use the dropdown to try to match to an existing record based on one or more selected parameters. If a matching assignment is found, it will be updated with the imported data. Optionally select to add a new job assignment is a match isn't found. If a matching assignment is not found, a new one will be created. If not selected, and the assignment is not found on the constituent's record, an exception will be created.
If importing only new job assignments, select the option to Always add as a new job assignment to import without attempting to match to existing assignments.
