You will need to open the selected Profile that you are working with and highlight "Constituents" in the navigation pane to the left of the window.
This will show the "Constituent Field Updates" options. You will need to ensure the following check boxes are selected in the profile:

You will need to open the selected Profile that you are working with and highlight "Constituents" in the navigation pane to the left of the window.
This will show the "Constituent Field Updates" options. You will need to ensure the following check boxes are selected in the profile:
- Use Side By Side Comparison Utility for Updating Bio Fields
and - Bio 1 Other Fields (*which contains birth date)
You can then refer to the ImportOmatic User Guide for screen shots of how the window will appear in the side by side comparison utility.
When you begin importing and the side by side comparison utility appears, you will be provided with an option to select or deselect the data field that is being imported with a check box.
If the box next to "birth date" remains checked, this means that you do want to bring in the update that will appear in 'red'. If the box next to "birth date" remains unchecked, this means that you DO NOT want to bring in the update that will appear in 'red'.
***Note: If you decide to bring in the new data in 'red' or not, you will need to select the OK button at the bottom of the side by side utility screen in order to process the data row after making your selection. Selecting "Skip Row" will send the entire row of data out as an exception, not just the field value you are selecting or deselecting.
