To set a default application for .pdf viewing, please use the steps below:
- Go to the Windows Start menu
- Select the Control Panel
- Select Programs
- Select Default Programs
- Select "Associate a file type of protocol with a program"
- Allow the extensions list to load, locate the extension in question ".pdf" and highlight to select
- Select the "Change Program" button at the top right of the extension list view
- Select either Chrome or Firefox
