Answer:
This issue occurs when the output file is opened and saved by the user as a file type of "Unicode Text".
In order to prevent this from happening, when you open the output file and you would like to make changes to that output file and save them, you will need to select "Save As" and change the file type from "unicode text" to ".csv". Any time that the output file is opened and saved without choosing to save as a .csv file type, the result will be finding the data being pushed into a single column when the file is opened again.
To Resolve, open Excel and click on the File > Open option. Browse to the exceptions file and select Open. The Text Wizard prompt will open. Then follow the below.
- Make sure that Delimited is selected and then click Next.
- On the next page, make sure that Comma or Tab or both Comma and Tab are selected, depending on your data file delimiters.
- Select Text in the next prompt.
-
Click the Finish button to open it correctly.
