Description: This solution discusses how to import split gifts
Environment: All
Version: All
Answer:
In the data file, each split must be in its own row, all rows for the same gift must be sequential in the file, and all split gifts for the same gift must share the same unique gift ID value.

Put the split amounts in the Gift Amount column, not the total amount. For example, if you're splitting a $100 gift evenly, one row will have 50 and the other row will have 50.
In your IOM profile, go to Gifts and check the box Process split gifts

Answer:
When creating split gifts for import through IOM, the splits must be on their own consecutive rows in the data file and they must have the same gift id assigned as well.
The gift id can be assigned prior to importing as long as the gift id being assigned is unique. This means that you will assign the gift id to prevent RE from assigning a gift id. To ensure the gift id is unique, users will typically create a gift id that is sequential and includes the current date. For example, a gift split three ways would have the following gift id assigned for all three portions of the split : 1-062315.
For the next separate gift, the gift id would be: 2-062315. The next separate gift would be: 3-062315, so on and so forth.
Put the split amounts in the Gift Amount column, not the total amount. For example, if you're splitting a $100 gift evenly, one row will have 50 and the other row will have 50.
