Answer:

1. In the left hand navigation pane, highlight the profile processing rule for "Constituents". On the right of the view you will select the drop down menu on the field labeled "If imported constituent code already exists" located under "Constituent and Solicit Codes". Select the option to "Update existing with date processing". 

2. In the first drop down menu that follows labeled "Update Date From", select "NEVER" (screen shot shown below)

3. Save your changes to the profile.
