Description: This solution describes how to resolve the Error: Phone ImportID was provided in the data but does not exist on the record.  Unable to add the phone due to profile settings.
Environment: All

Versions: 3.5.1.0 and higher

Answer: 


This error occurs when importing a phone import ID that does not match a phone import ID in The Raiser's Edge and the option to treat the data row as an exception is selected.

If these should be new phone import IDs added to The Raiser's Edge, go to Phones/Emails in the profile and change the option to add as new.
