Description: This solution discusses why the advanced address processing screen would pop up with a 100-point match
Environment: All
Version: All

Answer:

The Advanced Address Processing (AAP) window similarity score for addresses only looks at the address lines when determining how similar the two addresses are to one another. However, it is important to note that ANY change in the city, state or zip code will cause the AAP screen to pop up.

If there are multiple addresses on the record that are exactly the same, including city, state and zip, the AAP will pop up because IOM can't determine which address to match to. In version 2.7.0.0, we added the ability to auto-pick the preferred or matching address type. Selecting this option will auto-pick the preferred address or the address with the matching type and update it.

If there are multiple alternate addresses with the same type that match the incoming address, you will see the AAP and you must choose which address to update.
