This solution describes how to resolve the Error in Split Gift: Invalid Fund: Fund Description
This error occurs when the incoming value for the Fund is the Fund ID but the expected RE format is set to Description.
To resolve, you may check the Fund format under the "Tools" menu in RE by selecting User Options for your RE user account. To check your specific user options, select RE > Tools > User Options > Records > Fund > Fund Format drop down field. If the fund is specified in the incoming data by Fund ID but the fund format in RE is set to Description, change it to Fund ID. Or vice versa RE is set to Fund ID and needs to be changed to Fund description.
The user options are setup per user in The Raiser's Edge. The data incoming from the data file must be in the format that your user options are set to recognize for the Fund, whether that be ID or Description. Once you use the above steps to determine which one you are using then you will be able to make the needed adjustment to the incoming data or your user options (your choice) to proceed successfully with the import.
