Environment: All

Versions: All

Answer:

Clean up options are found by going to the field mapping screen and clicking on the gear icon to the right of your mapping.

Select Clean up, and a new screen will appear with the different clean up options available. Below we will walk through the Source date format option.

Source date format allows you to select the date formatting for your source data, whether that's a file upload, endpoint, or system of record. You can select either the US or Non-US date formatting, depending on how the data is coming from your source.

If you select the US date format, you can select additional date and time formatting in the Date and time format option.

If you select the Non-US date format, you must select date and time formatting in the Date and time format option. What you select here will be dependent on what date formatting your destination (endpoint or system of record) system will accept.

Let's look at what happens when we apply Source date formatting to our file.

To do this, select the gear icon to the right of the field mapping for the Date field. Select Clean up, and the new screen appears with our clean up options. Select the dropdown under Source Date format and choose the US option, then click Apply.

Our example record shows the US Source date format clean up that has been applied to the Date field.

Next, we'll review what happens when we apply Non-US Source date format, and then apply a Date and time format.

To do this, select the gear icon to the right of the field mapping for the Date field. Select Clean up, and the new screen appears with our clean up options. Select the dropdown under Source Date format and choose the Non-US option, then select the MM/dd/yyyy option in the Date and time format dropdown, then click Apply.

Our example record shows the Non-US Source date format and Date and time format clean up that has been applied to the Date field.
